Websites to sell your content and articles

Writing website content or articles for other people is a great way to make some additional money. In fact, I know a few people who have managed to make a good living and they started out writing articles for a few dollars a time. I'll talk a bit more about how they did that later.

For some people, writing the articles and coming up with the content is the easy part. The hard part is finding clients to write for who will pay you a fair rate.

If you live in the United States, you have much more choice than people who live in other countries. I will list a few of the top sites that you can register with to buy and sell articles a bit later.

If you're just starting out in the world of writing for profit, then the Internet is the best place to begin.

It doesn't really matter whether English is your first language, but you MUST have a good grasp of the English language because the vast majority of articles you will be writing will be in English. Some services and some clients might ask for articles in Spanish, German or French, but they are quite rare.

If you are lucky enough to speak and write several languages, you could find that you will have a lot of work coming your way.

Anyway, let's start by exploring some of the BEST websites you can use to write and sell articles.

The first one I want to tell you about it CONSTANT CONTENT.

You can click here to access constant content.

Constant content is a Canadian company that has a very good reputation in providing only the best quality content to clients. They have thousands of clients who want specific content written and they will pay big money for the right content.

Now before you rush off to sign up with Constant content, there's a few things to understand.

1. They are very selective in who they allow to join as a writer. You must take a grammar test first before they accept you as a writer. You only get so many chances to take this test, so DO NOT rush it.

2. Once you are accepted, you must submit 5 articles before you are allowed to bid for work yourself. These articles are manually checked by their editing team and it is very likely that your articles will not be accepted on the first attempt.

When you get a rejection note for an article (and you will believe me) read it VERY CAREFULLY and make any corrections before resubmitting the article for consideration.

If you get too many rejections at ANY TIME, they will terminate your account without any notice. If there's any money in your account at the time they terminate your account, they will send you payment, but there is NO appeal. Once your account is terminated, that's it.

If you want to register with a new email address and PayPal account, you could try, but in some cases, it is too much hassle.

Ont he positive side, Constant Content pays very well. When you become an established writer, you can complete work for clients who will pay $100 for one article, but they tend to be in very specialized niches. However, if you are able to research the subject matter, you can do this on a regular basis.

Constant Content will vet your work, and of course, take a 20% cut.

You can write your own articles and submit them for sale. You can set your own price and your own licensing terms. So for example, you can submit an article for sale at $7 on a use only basis. This means you can sell the same article many times. You can also submit an article for say $20 on a Unique license which means you can only sell it once, but you retain rights to it. And finally you can sell an article for perhaps $50 or more on a Full Rights license which again means you can only sell it once and you transfer all rights to the new owner.

If you write articles in a popular niche, you can make a lot of money from selling just a few good articles on a usage basis.

You can write in several niches as outlined below:
  •     Arts & Culture
  •     Business
  •     General
  •     Health & Lifestyles
  •     Home
  •     Merchandise
  •     Premium Articles
  •     Recreation
  •     Regional
  •     Relationships
  •     Science
  •     Society
  •     Sports
  •     Technology
Some science and technology related articles can be sold for very high sums indeed.

To summarise, constant content is a premium service and as a writer, you can earn big sums of money. However, this comes at a cost. It is difficult to get accepted and you must maintain a very high standard or else your account can be terminated.
